Experiential program that brings together graduate students, professional students and postdocs from diverse disciplines across UNC to conceive, develop and test innovative solutions to unmet needs in healthcare.

Located on the second floor of the Genome Sciences Building, the KickStart Accelerator is managed by KickStart Venture Services, a department that is part of Innovate Carolina, the University-wide initiative for innovation and entrepreneurship. The accelerator provides an ideal home for early research-based startups that need space to conduct business and research and development.

A 14-16 week accelerator supporting startups with mentorship, co-working space, and a strong network. The program is equity-free and open to ventures across industries.

The Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SIE) Lab at UNC School of Social Work supports students and faculty in exploring, designing, and implementing new ways of addressing complex social problems. Among its activities, SIE Lab has helped Master of Social Work students launch social venture startups.

This program provides startups with business support and entrepreneurial fellows with direct experiences translating scientific, technological and social-driven ideas into the market.
